If Kibsons UAE had a review section…

If you don’t have time (or don’t want to spend the time) to shop at a physical grocery store, then Kibsons in the UAE is a great option.
Since COVID, I have relied on weekly grocery deliveries and after trying different stores, I now do 99% of my grocery shopping at Kibsons.
Ever since we moved to RAK (Ras Al Khaimah), I rely on Kibsons even more because the other options (other than Spinneys and Choithrams) don’t cover my needs of quality meat, vegetables, and fruit.
As much as I appreciate that Kibsons has grown their product offering since COVID days, it gets a little overwhelming with so many products to choose from. I end up ordering the same items every week (I keep them in the FAVORITES section of the app so it’s easy to do).
What I would love is for there to be a “review” section so you can get a sense of product quality and flavors. Many times, I’ve ordered something that I absolutely hated because the product description wasn’t accurate.
Like spaghetti bolognese. This is my go-to for the children’s meals when I don’t have time to cook. So why on earth is it SPICY? Who sells spaghetti bolognese spicy?? If someone wanted it spicy, just add chilli flakes at home.
If someone had left a review saying so, I would not have subjected poor Li’L Ginger to a spicy dinner. She ended up having no dinner that night 😓.
Anyway, I recently had a little time on my hands, so I’m sharing some Kibsons products that I liked that I think should get more love.
Juicing Kits
We’ve been big on juicing lately ever since I bought Scotch a juicer from Amazon UAE. This is the Kenwood juicer we got and so far, so good.
And now we are making our way through the juicing kits at Kibsons.
I do like the convenience that the juicing kit boxes provide – but it’s sometimes cheaper to buy the fruit individually.
Chicken Gyros from Greece
Moving to RAK meant no more gyros because there aren’t any Doner & Gyro franchises here anymore (only in Dubai). Sure, shawarmas are great, but this New York City girl needs her street gyro fix every once in a while.
I’ve been looking at this gyro product for a while and finally tried it out. WINNER!
Easy to prepare – just pop it in the oven for 10 minutes at 200° Celsius (I don’t even bother defrosting) and it comes out soft and slightly browned.
Only negative is that the product is a little salty.
Also add to your Kibsons cart:
- Arabic bread or pita bread
- tzatziki or garlic sauce
- lettuce, tomato, onions
Stay tuned for more reviews.
And let me know in the comments: What are some of your favorite Kibsons products? I’d love to try them!
